Quality Assurance Officer - Contract

Summary

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the ideal candidate should possess the following:

Responsibilities

• • Secure samples submitted to the Quality Assurance Department for testing
• • Perform chemical, microbiological and physical analyses in accordance with procedures
• • Maintain clear and accurate records of all tests completed
• • Maintain work area and the laboratory equipment in the required condition
• • Participate in the company’s self-assessment audit program.

Required Skills

• • Competent in the use of computer application for documentation and data analysis
• • Ability to perform trend analyses and make recommendations from results
• • Sound problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• • Knowledge of microorganisms relevant to the food industry
• • Organizational ability and people skills
• • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• • BSc or equivalent in a science related discipline (preferable food)
• • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment
