Brand Manager - Spirits
Summary
The Brand Manager will report to the Spirits & Beverages Category Manager. This position is responsible for improving sales for a pre-determined listing of spirit brands within the CPJ portfolio. The incumbent will also be responsible for identifying new opportunities within the market and ensuring the coordination between the CPJ marketing/sales teams and their respective customers. The following skills and characteristics are required to fulfil this role: Dependability, Flexibility, Strong organizational qualities, and Timeliness.
Responsibilities
- • Must be a subject expert on the product portfolio of the category.
- • Implement marketing plans and strategies guided by the respective Brand Owners/ Vendors.
- • Prepare and communicate monthly reports detailing sales and marketing achievements to the Category Manager and Brand Owners where applicable.
- • Assist in vendor relationships through report consolidation, trade visit itineraries and general communication.
- • Conduct monthly trade visits inclusive of new client presentations and product training exercises.
- • Assist in the process on which new products are brought on stream and launched through market observations of
- • competitor activities, price assessments and communication with Sales Representatives.
- • Act in a supervisory role to the Brand Associate in the category.
General Responsibilities:
- • Implement activities, processes or strategies that will improve the competitive advantage of the company, in consultation with the Category Manager, and other members of the Management Team.
- • Ensure the maintenance of the good name and reputation of Caribbean Producers Jamaica Ltd. in general through the demonstration and practice of the highest standards of ethical conduct.
- • Abide by the disciplinary code of the company.
- • Any other duties as may be assigned.
Required Skills
- • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of staff.
- • Ability to work flexible hours as the needs of the service dictate, including out of normal hours as required.
- • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues and customers.
- • An understanding of the principles of good customer service.
- • Ability to work within Corporate Policies.
- • Should possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power-point
- • Self-motivated with the proven ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision.
- • Ability to meet deadlines and exercise good time management skills.
- • Presentation skills should include modern presentation methods.
- • Trustworthy, dependable, and reputable.
- • Well organised and methodical approach to work and the work environment.
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Marketing, Public Relations or Hospitality and Tourism Management
- • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity
- • Previous track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets an asset
- • Must own a reliable motor vehicle.
