Truck Driver - St. Thomas

At Recycling Partners of Jamaica (RPJ), we’re driving sustainability island wide. As a critical player in Jamaica’s recycling movement, we need skilled and dependable Truck Drivers to move recovered plastics from depots to redemption centers and beyond — safely, on time, and with pride.

Responsibilities

• • Transport plastic bottles (loose) and baled material between locations across Jamaica
• • Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and perform basic maintenance
• • Ensure all documentation, including mileage, fuel, and load logs, are accurate and up to date
• • Practice defensive driving and comply with GOJ road regulations and RPJ’s safety standards
• • Communicate route updates or delivery delays in real time

Qualifications

• • Valid Jamaican General Driver’s Licence (minimum 5 years commercial driving experience)
• • A solid track record — minimum 3 years in logistics or similar heavy-duty trucking
• • Basic mechanical awareness and understanding of preventive maintenance
• • A commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism
• • Strong communication and record-keeping skills

• Nice to Have:

  • • Certificate in Defensive Driving and/or Fleet Safety
  • • Experience using digital job tracking systems (e.g., cieTrade)
