
HR Project Manager
Summary
Iberostar International in the Caribbean, with hotels in Mexico, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Jamaica invites applications from qualified candidates to fill the following position of: HR PROJECT MANAGER
Responsibilities
Serve as the HR lead during the HCM implementation lifecycle including:
- • Requirements gathering
- • Data migration
- • Testing
- • Go-live
- • Post-implementation support
- • Manage complex transition projects, especially those related to payroll systems and HCM processes.
- • Support local HR teams with on-the-ground HR and payroll-related data projects.
- • Collaborate with regional and global HR and IT teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- • Deliver local project tasks and support program planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- • Provide relevant data and coordinate testing efforts for both the HCM system and local payroll systems.
- • Ensure timely communication with key internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- • Coordinate local project meetings and maintain deliverables and documentation.
Actively participate in the design and documentation of:
- • Local process maps
- • Process improvements
- • Robotizations
- • SOPs
- • Global HR policies and mini guides
- • Key user training materials and HR upskilling resources
- • Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), parallel runs, and issue resolution during payroll system transitions.
- • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to communicate project status, manage expectations, and capture feedback.
- • Provide project management support for the payroll cycle transition.
Required Skills
- • Strong project management and organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail.
- • Strong background with payroll software programs (preferably SAP HR or similar).
- • Ability to translate statutory updates into system requirements and validate with SAP consultants.
- • Analytical mindset with strong numerical aptitude.
- • Proficiency in Google Sheets, including formula creation and format communication with system admins.
- • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
- • PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
- • Proven experience managing complex transition projects.
- • Experience with HCM/HRIS systems such as Workday, SuccessFactors, UKG, or Oracle.
