
Environmental Impact & Risk Coordinator
Summary
The EIR Coordinator plays a critical role in sustaining and enhancing the environmental standards of CB Group. The EIR Coordinator will execute the department’s requirements under the directives of the Assistant Manager for EIR and will work to improve environmental standards and promote sustainable practices.
Responsibilities
- • Executing data collection for environmental aspects under the CBG ESG pillars (energy, water, wastewater, solid waste, air emissions)
- • Completing the administrative tasks for the EIR department particularly as it relates to documentation management from regulatory authorities
- • Drafting, editing and preparing correspondence, reports and other materials
- • Implementing EIR policies and programs
- • Supporting the adherence of environmental regulations and laws
- • Researching and analyzing environmental data
- • Maintaining departments’ records in a safe, secure and organized manner
- • Coordinating support activities for execution of the EIR Training program
- • Coordinating the dissemination of special EIR project, audit and inspection reports
- • Coordinating contractors to execute services related to EIR pillar activities (recycling, waste collection, environmental monitoring, emergency equipment servicing and maintenance)
- • Managing the equipment maintenance, storage and repair for the EIR dept
- • Adhering to CBG policies and procedures
- • Conducting all other assigned tasks
Required Skills
- • Strong project coordination and organizational skills
- • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders and all levels
- • Ability to work effectively in a team or on own.
Qualifications
- • A bachelor’s degree in Environment Science or related field
- • Relevant certification such as Certified Environment would be an asset
- • Proven experience in environmental planning and management systems, including experience with ISO 14001 would be an asset
