Data Analyst - GK Investments

Summary

The Data Analyst - GK Invesments will be responsible for collecting, organizing, maintaining, and analyzing databases across GK Investments to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• • Collaborate with stakeholders, including production and licensing teams, to identify key metadata requirements for tagging and annotating archival sports footage. This involves conducting reviews of existing content and determining essential descriptive elements such as athlete names, events, and notable moments.
• • Systematically review and analyze all datasets to ensure accurate tagging, annotation, and organization within relevant databases. This involves properly categorizing data for ease of access.
• • Perform quality control checks on all datasets to verify accuracy and completeness, addressing inconsistencies or gaps in the metadata as needed.
• • Develop and maintain a comprehensive tagging and annotation framework to standardize metadata entries and ensure consistency across the media archive.
• • Utilize media management software and tools to input, organize, and update metadata for the archive, ensuring optimal functionality for content retrieval and licensing needs.
• • Assist in the design and implementation of processes to improve the efficiency of archival work, including the use of automation tools where applicable.
• • Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Required Skills

• • In-depth knowledge of media tagging, annotation, and metadata management principles, including best practices for organizing archival content.
• • Familiarity with media management software and tools for tagging, annotation, and database organization.
• • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel to clean analyse and visualize data.
• • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure accurate and consistent metadata creation and quality control.
• • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of archival content and datasets systematically and efficiently.
• • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to document processes, prepare reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Management Studies or a related field preferred.
• • A minimum of three (3) years experience in a data analyst role.
