Junior Inventory Analyst

Summary

Provide general assistance and support to the Inventory Analyst to foster effective collaboration and maintain a positive relationship between the Business Unit, Third Party Logistics (3PL), and other relevant internal and external departments, entities, or agencies. This role is essential for safeguarding the Business Unit’s trade inventory, minimizing inventory-related losses and warehouse operating costs, and ultimately maximizing revenue and profit for the Business Unit.

Responsibilities

• • Physically inspecting all inventories dry and cold warehouses and moved them into the cage (140Q) for write off, using the warehouse write off report and submit accordingly.
• • Verify and note quantities, batch information, dates and any other information which may be required for decision making.
• • Determine what items can be repackaged and placed back in salable stock; coordinate and follow up with the warehouse personnel and ensure that it is done as quickly as possible, both physically and in the inventory records. Notify Inventory Analyst of any additional resources that may be required for re-packaging.
• • Co-ordinate the preparation and movement of inventories from the cage for approved selling, promotion, donation, staff gifts or other activities, as and when required.
• • Conduct daily stock counts on inventory in quarantine locations to ensure physical stock reconciles with what is on the system at all times and all discrepancies brought to the attention of the Inventory Analyst.
• • Co-ordinate with warehouse personnel and make arrangements for the pre-approved proper, timely and cost effective removal and disposal or worthless inventories from the cage or other locations within the warehouse.
• • Follow through with customers to ensure seamless closure of transaction
• • Ensure all accounts used for fire sales or other specials sales are reconciled weekly and remain in good standing
• • Ensure chargeable materials issued from quarantine for promotion or donation use are billed and invoiced accordingly
• • Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor
