
People Development Officer
Summary
Design, develop, deliver and evaluate training and development programmes aimed at improving/ expanding the knowledge, skills and attitudes of team members to enhance individual and organizational performance.
Responsibilities
- • Conduct, present, facilitate all in-house training sessions for the administrative team members and the loading of course material to the unit’s learning management system.
Identify, evaluate and recommend the use of external providers.:
- • Monitor the quality of the presentations.
- • Design, adapt and/ or update a wide range of training courses, seminars and workshops for all levels of the administrative team members for face-to-face, on-line delivery, or self study and submit them to the Manager of People Development, for approval.
- • Train, branch and unit managers to conduct micro level on-the-job training for their respective team members, including the development of the appropriate procedural manuals.
- • Design, adapt and/ or update course evaluation systems and conduct evaluation, including an impact assessment after the course is completed.
Design, adapt and/ or update instructional materials for training sessions with the administrative team.:
- • Recommend purchases/ subscriptions by the Information centre/ library.
- • Assist with the design and implementation of formal and informal training needs analyses.
- • Assist with evaluating and making recommendations for enhancements to computer technology that will provide support to administrative personnel.
- • Assist with the development and execution of development programmes.
- • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
Required Skills
- • Good knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design and training evaluation techniques.
- • Proficiency in the use of computer software packages such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and Internet applications.
- • Good knowledge of banking laws, regulations and procedures.
- • Knowledge of T24 or other core banking systems would be an asset.
- • Experience in using learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
- • Excellent inter-personal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
- • Good research and analytical skills.
- • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management Studies or Education from a recognized tertiary institution
- • Teacher Training, or Certificate in training.
- • At least three (3) years’ working experience in training and/ or adult education, with experience in banking.

Maintenance Officer (SOG/ST4)

Reporting to the Parish Engineer, the Maintenance Supervisor (SOG/ST 5) and in conjunction with the Maintenance Officer (SOG/ST 4) is a mid-level management position and is:- Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance activities within the Spanish Town Hospital, including planning schedules, assigning tasks to maintenance staff, managing inventory of spare parts. Ensuring compliance with safety standards, and reporting on maintenance operations. Leads the maintenance team in the performance of all preventative maintenance, minor and major repairs, and service functions at the Spanish Town hospital. Undertakes complex mechanical and electrical activities on a wide variety of systems, components/equipment and structural facilities related to maintenance. Provides advice and guidelines on matters concerning a wide range of maintenance problems within the Hospital.
