
Admissions Officer
Summary
UHWI Private Wing, Tony Thwaites Wing invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the permanent, full-time position of Admissions Officer. The Admissions Officer will be responsible for processing patients for admission and the preparation of cost estimates for medical procedures. This role is highly customer service driven.
Responsibilities
- • Processing patients for in-patient and out-patient admissions
- • Communicating with stakeholders regarding estimated invoices for prospective patients
- • Preparing estimates for various procedures within a reasonable timeframe
- • Assisting patients with queries regarding the various medical procedures and the admissions process
- • Liaising with insurance providers for pre-authorization and pre-approval for hospitalization

Qualifications
- • A minimum of two years' working experience as a customer service provider in a similar environment e.g. hospital/ health care service, hospitality industry, health insurance provider
- • A diploma/Associate Degree in Business Studies
- • 5 GCE/CXC subjects including Principles of Accounts, Mathematics and English Language
- • Proficient in Microsoft Office
- • Knowledge of medical terminology as well as medical/ surgical procedures
- • Refined customer service skills
