Graphic Artist - Television

Summary

Under the supervision of the Senior ENG Editor, the Graphic Artist is responsible for producing high-quality layouts, graphic designs, and visuals for sets, logos, and productions.

Responsibilities

• • Develops, in conjunction with the Writers/Producers/ Presenters and Senior ENG Editor, ideas for effective and creative television and studio graphics and visuals.
• • Produces innovative graphics using computerized equipment and traditional drawing skills, in keeping with the clients’ specifications, budgets, and schedules.
• • Coordinates work with Producers and Senior ENG Editor for the effective production of high quality design and visuals.
• • Liaises with the Senior ENG Editor to develop designs and captions.
• • Performs any other related duties which may be assigned by the Manager, Television Department and Senior ENG Editor.

Desired Traits and Characteristics

• • Good organizational, communication and time management skills.
• • Knowledge of television production.
• • Ability to capture clients’ ideas in a creative way, as well as solve visual problems and challenges.
• • Ability to quickly produce graphic material and work within a fast-paced environment.
• • Competence in motion graphics desirable.

Qualifications

• • Certification in computer software such as web or graphic design or other equivalent qualifications.
• • Two (2) years’ experience in graphic art and/or design in a television environment.
