Facilities Maintenance Coordinator
Summary
JP Tropical Foods Limited, a subsidiary of Pan Jamaica Group, is a diverse, fast-growing Company and the nation's leading supplier of high-quality fresh produce with export markets in the USA and Caribbean, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate must be results-oriented with the ability to effectively multi-task and manage emergencies escalated in a 24/7 environment to be a part of our Operations team tasked with ensuring the sustainability of the business infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Key Requirements of this Role:
- • Oversee the maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), painting, and other building systems.
- • Direct control of the performance of all the company's technical and heavy equipment such as forklifts, ripening rooms, room controllers, pumps, generators, tractors, farm implements, electrical panels, measuring and testing equipment, certified equipment, and tools.
- • Direct control of the plant, building & property maintenance activities for the complex and accessory/utility areas.
- • Formulate and manage the budget for the R&M operations across the various sites.
Other Responsibilities of this Role (but not limited to):
- • Develop, implement, review, and ensure strict adherence to operational policies and procedures.
- • Direct control of the performance of the company's fleet of vehicles to ensure they are maintained at high performance standards.
- • Ensure proper maintenance of documentation and keeping accurate records of the R&M activities.
Qualifications
- • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least two (2) years' experience in a similar role.
- • Knowledge of OSHA, HACCP, and GMP.
- • Experience in managing projects. Ability to encourage team development and performance improvement.
- • Knowledge of budgets, variances, and basic financial awareness.
- • Strong MS Office skills.
- • Excellent communication skills and leadership skills.
- • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- • Ability to multi-task and prioritize without supervision.
- • Flexibility to respond to emergencies escalated in a 24/7 environment.
- • Proactive and confident in enforcing company rules, safety policies, and legislative requirements.
- • Own and operate a reliable motor vehicle.
