Technician Associate

Summary

Maintain all engineering systems and equipment in accordance with manufactured specifications to ensure efficient operation while providing an environment conducive for occupant’s comfort and productivity.

Responsibilities

• • Work in tandem with the Maintenance Supervisor and Senior Technicians in executing planned and unscheduled maintenance services.
• • Execute a schedule of fixed daily tasks such as the logging of data on equipment operations and taking correction action as necessary.
• • Maintain the health, safety and security of the working environment.
• • Facilitate on the job training and provide guidance for Trainee Technicians.
• • Perform any other related duties that may be assigned.

Required Skills

• • Exposure to Basic building management software.
• • Ability to interpret all types of engineering and structural drawings.
• • Fully conversant with the normal equipment and tools required for the maintenance and repair of engineering equipment associated with a complex building.
• • Good customer service skills.
• • Meticulous (eye for details).

Qualifications

• • Completion of Level II Certification from the National Council on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NCTVET) Institution.
• • A minimum of six (6) CSEC subjects, including Mathematics, English and/ or a Technical/Science or Vocational subject or an Associate’s Degree in a related discipline.
• • At least two (2) years’ working experience in a similar capacity.

Additional Information and Instructions

• This role includes:

  • • Daily exposure to hazardous materials such as chemicals, electrical short circuits and rotating machinery.
  • • Lifting and moving of heavy materials and equipment.
  • • Need to wear safety gear and clothing as necessary.
