Payroll Services Analyst I

Summary

Performs data-driven business support and technical tasks with developed proficiency in analytical and operational processes, completing assignments with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• • Manages employee data for new hires, terminations, and personnel changes via uploads to third-party vendors.
• • Inputs data exceptions and changes into HR or Payroll systems for external clients.
• • Conducts peer check audits on data files submitted for processing.
• • Corrects data entry errors identified during audits.
• • Compiles and submits final payroll reports and banking files.
• • Handles Tier 2 payroll inquiries within contracted service levels.
• • Supports special projects as needed.
• • Loads payroll files into the payroll system and reconciles errors to meet client guidelines.
• • Analyzes multi-state payroll tax data, making necessary calculations and adjustments.
• • Reconciles payroll processes for all payroll and general ledger accounts.
• • Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• • College or university degree or equivalent work experience in a technical, professional, or sales area.
• • Basic understanding of payroll theories, practices, and procedures.
• • Ability to perform routine assignments with limited supervision.
• • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data accuracy.
• • Ability to troubleshoot standard problems and follow established procedures.
• • Effective communication skills for exchanging information and ensuring understanding.
