Summary

This position is required to provide administrative support to the Fund Registrar Services Unit, which extends to all Mutual Funds, Unit Trust, Registrar & Payment Services, and Administration of Corporate Structures (SPV) Pooled Funds and Other Arrangements administered by JMMB or its related entities. This support role along with general administration, entails liaising with clients, maintaining an accurate database of all members (Unit/Security Holders), their demographic data and units/securities registered thereto. The preservation of the integrity of the Registry’s data, compliance with regulatory norms and timely and effective communication are essential to the successful execution of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Fund Registry:

    • Maintain the register of unit holders on behalf of the Trustee, ensuring accuracy at all times by
  • Security Registry:

    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Register Of Securities and Security holders on behalf of the security issuer ensuring accuracy at all times by
  • ESOP Administration.:

    • Perform administrative duties for the JMMB ESOP Fund which includes but is not limited to ensuring the accurate and effective maintenance of member’s record by
  • Administration of SPV’s:

    • Perform administrative duties for the SPV’s established by JMMB which includes but is not limited to

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good human relations/ interpersonal skills
  • Very good oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
  • High level of proficiency in the use of computer, particularly spreadsheets.
  • Working knowledge of the statutory regulations and Acts governing the operations, namely the Pension Act and Regulations, Money Laundering Act, Companies Act, Financial Institutions Act, and all other Acts governing the Financial Services Sector.
  • Working knowledge of accounting practices, principles and procedures, especially as they relate to a banking environment.
  • Good knowledge banking/investment products, systems and procedures

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Management
  • Experience in Fund Administration would be an asset.
  • Two (2) years related experience in a Fund Management Company, Commercial or Investment bank.
  • The Jamaican Securities Course would be a distinct asset
