Summary

The Purchasing and Supply Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless procurement and supply of goods, whether for resale or raw material use, with a primary focus on profit maximization.

Responsibilities

To achieve the effective coordination of all purchases and supplies for sale (or for use as raw materials) within the store for profit maximization. The incumbent works closely with the Category Management Department, Floor Supervisor, Receival Team, Store Associates (assigned to merchandising) and External Sales Representatives to maximize product availability within the store, making sure that the service level is maintained at an acceptable standard.

Qualifications

• • Associates Degree in Business Studies or other related discipline
• • 3 years’ experience in a retail or purchasing environment
• • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows Applications including Word and Excel and other related software applications, including SMS
• • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• • Ability to relate well and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
• • Ability to work independently
