Summary

Conduct analysis and research of suitable corporations seeking to obtain balance sheet optimization via equity, debt, valuation, financial advice, business guidance and suggestions. Coordinate and manage all transactions that Sagicor Investments and its related parties will participate in. Provide administrative support to the other members of the Capital Markets Department

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Capital Markets team:

    • • Liaise with counterparties regarding pre and post capital markets activities such as the preparation of forms and reports required by internal and external stakeholders.
  • • Coordinate and manage all Selling Agent transactions to which Sagicor Investments is not the Arranger.
  • • Coordinate and manage all transactions that Sagicor Investments and its related parties will participate in.
  • Analyze and conduct research of suitable corporations seeking to obtain balance sheet optimization:

    • • Research and analyze companies in order to make recommendations for suitable financing solutions.
    • • Analyze the financial statements of corporate clients to determine suitability for accessing the capital markets.
    • • Assist with the coordination, structuring and execution of deals requiring capital markets solutions.
    • • Assist with the preparation of proposals, presentations and the developing strategies geared towards balance sheet and business solutions.
    • • Attend and participate in meetings with prospective and existing corporate finance target clients.
    • • Liaise with counterparties regarding pre and post capital markets activities.
  • • Coordinate and manage all selling agent transactions to which Sagicor Investments is not the Arranger.
  • • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • • Successful completion of the Jamaica Securities Course.
  • • At least two (2) years’ working experience in the Financial Services Industry.
  • • Direct experience in Investments and Capital markets would be an asset.
  • • Knowledge of financial analysis, financial statements and financial models.
  • • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • • Excellent human relations skills.
  • • Ability to produce reports.
  • • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
