Production Supervisor

Summary

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process of the Production Department, ensuring that the various products meet quality standards and are manufactured according to established procedures. The Production Supervisor will also assist in managing the team, equipment, training, audits, inventory and budget of department.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the planning organizing and monitoring of production and manufacturing schedules:

  • • monitors the production process and makes adjustments to ensure efficient use of all human and material resources.
• • Supervises the operations to achieve high output while adhering to cGMP and departmental SOPs.
• • Enforces strict adherence to established housekeeping, health and safety policies and practices.
• • Manages the validation programme to ensure key objectives are met.
• • Achieve objectives in accordance with the company’s strategic goals.
• • Trains, develops, and coaches staff and implement strategies to monitor progress.
• • Organizes workflow, sets, communicates, and tracks daily team objectives.
• • Reviewing and approving batch records to ensure accuracy and compliance with GMP guidelines.
• • Oversees departmental audits.
• • Analyzes production data and prepares accurate reports on performance.
• • Creates and updates Work Instructions.
• • Investigate deviations.
• • Manages the ERP system.
• • Acts as a liaison between different departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• • Recommends initiative for continuous process improvement.

Required Skills

• • Proficiency in the use of computer software application including Microsoft Word and Excel
• • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
• • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills,
• • Ability to multitask and produce efficient and accurate results
• • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Operations Management, Pharmacology, Chemistry, or a related field from an accredited institution
• • Certificate or Diploma in Supervisory Management
• • At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
