Revenue Accounts Clerk (Level 3)
Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Revenue Accountant, the Revenue Accounts Clerk is responsible to: âś“ Prepare payment and Journal Vouchers for Refund and Drawback. âś“ Maintaining various revenue files. âś“ Reconcile daily collection against source data for Customs House head office and e-payments. âś“ Maintaining cheques Register đź’°Basic Salary: $2,190,302 annually.
Responsibilities
Technical/Professional:
- • Prepares Payment Vouchers and Journal vouchers for Refund/Drawback.
- • Enter information into system on the instructions of the Revenue Accountant.
- • Prepares cheques.
- • Maintains and monitor cheques Registers.
- • Maintains files for Lodgement Slips.
- • Complete refunds and communicate completion to applicants.
- • Prepares monthly statement for any manual operations.
- • Reconcile daily collection against source data for Customs House head office and e-payments.
- • Prepares and submits all manual data to the Assistant Revenue Accountant to be journalized.
Customer Service:
- • Maintains customer service principles, standards, and measurements.
- • Identifies and incorporates the interests and needs of customers in business process design.
- • Ensures critical success factors are identified and meet expectations.
Other:
- • Performs all other duties and functions as may be required from time to time.
- • May be required to provide witness statements, attend court proceedings, and give evidence.
- • Complies with Health & Safety Policies & Procedures.

- • Working knowledge of the Financial Audit and Administration Act.
- • Working knowledge of relevant computer systems and their applications.
- • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- • Comprehensive knowledge of Bank Reconciliation practices and procedures
Qualifications
- • Education and training equivalent to AAT Foundation.
- • A certificate in Accounting from a recognized Tertiary Institution.
- • Four (4) General Proficiency passes in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC), or General Certificate of Education O’Levels passes in subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
- • 1-2 years related working experience.
- • Successful completion of Level 1 of the Certificate in Government Accounting.
