Application Support Specialist

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Application Support Analyst with a strong background in Power BI report design, data analytics tools, and database maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of IT support and business intelligence, ensuring our analytical platforms are optimized and responsive to business needs.

Responsibilities

• • Provide daily support and troubleshooting for business-critical applications and BI platforms
• • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements
• • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting needs and translate them into insightful visualizations
• • Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure report accuracy
• • Monitor and maintain SQL Server databases and other data sources used in reporting
• • Document procedures, workflows, and data models
• • Work cross-functionally with IT, data engineers, and business units to ensure efficient data flow and integrit

Required Skills

• • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query
• • Experience with other analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, or Qlik) is a plus
• • Solid knowledge of SQL and database management principles
• • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
• • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly

Qualifications

• • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• • 2+ years of experience in an application support or business intelligence role
