Remote Backend Developer

Summary

Our client is a data and analytics startup specialized in automotive data. Since launching in 2011, our client has aggregated billions of vehicle-related records, helped millions of consumers evaluate a car purchase, and served thousands of automotive businesses with access to our unique datasets. Their head office is in Washington State, USA, and we have a subsidiary in Canada. Job Overview: We’re looking for a Backend Developer that will be directly responsible for building and maintaining the systems that power our client's core business: providing reliable and high-quality automotive data to their customers. This includes everything from designing databases to optimizing performance and ensuring the systems are running smoothly. Essentially, this role is a key driver in the ability to deliver valuable data and insights to both consumers and businesses in the automotive industry. Salary: $2,600 - 3,100 USD/month depending on experience Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Pacific Time (US)

Responsibilities

• • Leading the design, implementation, and rollout of key backend systems and data products.
• • Managing production systems to maintain high quality and reliability for our clients.
• • Collaborating with other developers and team members to promote our collective growth.
• • Developing and maintaining documentation for software systems and applications.
• • Mentoring junior developers to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
• • Optimizing our production systems to be as maintenance-free as possible.
