The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the finance team in day-to-day operations. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of financial data and participating in month-end closing processes.

Responsibilities

• • Manage the fixed asset register and oversee the Proposal for Expenditure account to ensure accurate classification of items.
• • Reconcile company accounts related to Fixed Assets, Receivables, Payables, Prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
• • Code and enter invoices into the ERP system.
• • Ensure customer accounts are current with respect to invoices and payments.
• • Prepare GCT and audit schedules as necessary for reconciliation purposes.
• • Create journal entries as needed.
• • Conduct monthly physical inventory counts, update inventory balances, and produce corresponding variance reports.
• • Prepare weekly bank deposits for commissary and miscellaneous income.
• • Maintain the petty cash register.
• • Perform other related tasks that align with the general responsibilities and nature of the position.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or its equivalent
• • 3 years related experience
