Purchasing Co-Ordinator
Summary
Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating purchasing of raw materials and liaise with all stakeholders involved in the purchasing process. Additional Information: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm 10% Travel This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and vendors.
Responsibilities
- • To generate Purchase Orders for raw material and other goods and services both locally and overseas on a timely basis and ensure that they are lodged and filed in numeric sequence.
- • Timely setup new vendor in purchasing system.
- • Liaise with global purchasing support to resolve any issues in relation to vendor add or vendor account.
- • To ensure that Purchase Orders are placed with approved vendors at competitive prices within the physical parameters specified by the Company.
- • To reference bi-weekly Raw, Packaging and imported Finished Goods Stock Status Reports to aid in the timely ordering purchasing of raw material and packaging.
- • To liaise with Raw Material Contact and Production Manager to identify possible raw material needs.
- • To ensure compliance and maintenance of all relevant Company, inclusive of ISO documents, records, procedures, and standards.
- • To track all raw material and goods and services purchases from generation of purchase order to delivery on plant to ensure timely and accurately delivery of items purchased.
- • To perform vendor evaluation on a routine basis
- • To assist in the process to source new materials and raw material vendors.
- • To continuously review raw material prices to ensure company cash in on volume discounts and general raw material price reduction, also to liaise with SW Group to identify possible source for raw material through the group.
- • Follow-up with Accounts to ensure timely payment to Vendors for the supply of raw materials.
- • To follow and adhere to company’s EHS procedures and where necessary report any non-conformances in an expeditious manner.
- • Maintain AEO documents and processes in the raw material ordering, deliver and export (if applicable) process.
- • Maintain all documents in relation to the AEO status, involvement in AEO recertification and auditing process.
- • To perform any other related duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications
- • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least three (3) years of work experience in Purchasing and Logistics
Preferred Qualifications:
- • At least have a Master's degree or higher
