Massage Therapist

Summary

As a Massage Therapist , you will be responsible for performing therapeutic massages on clients, focusing on soft tissues and joints. This role may assist in assessing the range of motion and muscle strength, as well as developing tailored therapy plans for each client.

Responsibilities

• • Evaluate clients' specific needs, such as muscle stiffness, joint mobility, or stress relief.
• • Develop customized therapy plans depending on clients' individual requirements.
• • Utilize a variety of massage techniques, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
• • Maintain an open line of communication with clients, adjusting massage techniques as necessary to ensure comfort, satisfaction, and effectiveness.
• • Document clients' treatments, progress, and concerns to provide the most comprehensive care possible.
• • Ensure adherence to licensing requirements and professional standards.
• • Maintain the highest level of client confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• • Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate self-care techniques to be performed at home.
• • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education:

  • • Combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
  • • Has 2 to 3 years of work experience
