
Payroll Officer (FMG/AT 2
Summary
Under the supervision of the Director, Finance and Accounts, the Payroll Officer is responsible for preparing all Commitments and Payments, as well as performing cashiering duties. 💰 $1,711,060 - $2,301,186 JMD per annum.
Responsibilities
- • Prepares Utility Report for submission to the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service (MoFPS);
- • Prepares report on GCT withheld from suppliers, for submission to MoFPS
- • Prepares Commitments and Payments;
- • Prepares Journal Vouchers;
- • Maintains files for all Commitments and Payment Vouchers;
- • Performs cashiering duties.
Required Skills
- • Working knowledge of the GoJ Accounting Principles, Guidelines and Law
- • Working knowledge of the GoJ Public Procurement Guidelines and Act, 2015
- • Good oral and written communication skills
- • Good interpersonal skills
- • Good organizing skills
- • Knowledge of Government Financial Management System (GFMS) Software
Qualifications
- • AAT Level 2; or
- • ACCA-CAT Level B/Level 2; or
- • NVQJ Level 2, Accounting; or
- • Certificate in Accounting from an accredited University; or
- • Completion of second year of the BSc. Degree in Accounting/Management Studies with Accounting or BBA Degree at an accredited University;
- • ASc. Degree in Business Studies/ Business Administration/Management Studies; or
- • ASc. Degree in Accounting from the Management Institute for National Development (MIND); or
- • Certificate in Government Accounting Level 2.

Maintenance Officer (SOG/ST4)

Reporting to the Parish Engineer, the Maintenance Supervisor (SOG/ST 5) and in conjunction with the Maintenance Officer (SOG/ST 4) is a mid-level management position and is:- Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance activities within the Spanish Town Hospital, including planning schedules, assigning tasks to maintenance staff, managing inventory of spare parts. Ensuring compliance with safety standards, and reporting on maintenance operations. Leads the maintenance team in the performance of all preventative maintenance, minor and major repairs, and service functions at the Spanish Town hospital. Undertakes complex mechanical and electrical activities on a wide variety of systems, components/equipment and structural facilities related to maintenance. Provides advice and guidelines on matters concerning a wide range of maintenance problems within the Hospital.
