Remote Accountant

Summary

Our Client: Our client is a boutique multifamily real estate investment company focused on investing in ‘value-add’ multifamily properties throughout South Florida. They acquire class B and C properties with existing cash flow and opportunities for value-add improvement. The company is passionate about creating value for investors while uplifting the assets for the benefit of residents and the greater community. Job Overview: They are searching for a detail oriented and proactive Accounting Analyst to join their team that is looking to be a part of a growing company - where the candidate will add value to the organization, while learning, growing and developing their career in multifamily real estate. The objective is to assist with accounting, operational, and expansion activities. Bringing expertise in financial management to support their expanding portfolio. Salary: $2,800 - 3,000 USD/month depending on experience paid via Wise Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm EST

Responsibilities

• • Post monthly receivable postings
• • Post payables as they occur, real time
• • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions
• • Collaborate with vendors and residents to resolve any inquiries
• • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
• • Prepare and track budgets for multiple properties
• • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• • Assist with financial planning and analysis, identifying opportunities to improve financial performance

• Asset acquisition and management:

  • • Analyze potential real estate acquisitions by conducting in-depth financial analysis, pro forma analysis, and sensitivity testing
  • • Assist in preparing investment memorandums and reports for investors
  • • Maintain and update a database of acquisition targets, market research, and key property data
  • • Support the development of presentations and materials for investor meeting

Qualifications

• • At least 2 years of proven experience in accounting management or a similar role
• • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
• • Proficient in Excel
• • Communicates clearly, Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• • Excellent organizational and time management skills
• • Creative when solving issues
• • Open and willing to learn the multifamily investment business
• • Experience with Buildum software a plus
