Responsibilities

As an integral part of our Finance Department, the Accountant will:

• • Prepare group life invoices, statements, and commission reports.
• • Ensure timely settlement of group life premiums, commissions, renewals, and no-claim bonuses.
• • Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledgers, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• • Circulate aged receivable reports and prepare collection letters for overdue accounts.
• • Maintain monthly journal entries for fixed assets, accrued charges, and other items.
• • Manage bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies within 30 days.
• • Prepare monthly premium receivable reports and liaise with stakeholders for collections.
• • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure efficient audits.
• • Submit group life contracts for stamp duty and follow up on approvals.
• • Assist with regulatory audits and reviews.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• • ACCA Level 2 would be an asset.
• • Proven experience in financial accounting, reconciliations, and audits.
• • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
