The Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth & Information is offering scholarships to support individuals pursuing Master's Degrees in critical areas within psychology and therapy. This guide outlines the application process, general guidelines, and specific requirements for these graduate scholarships.
Application Period and Submission Guidelines
The application period for funding commences April 1 and closes June 30.
Applicants are encouraged to SUBMIT their applications even if they are awaiting Status/Tuition letters and Transcripts. All other required documents for consideration should be uploaded promptly.
Please note the following:
- Students awaiting CSEC, CAPE, and acceptance letters from their institution of choice will be provisionally processed pending the release of their results. Submission of all other documents must be done by June 30.
- Continuing students without transcripts, statement of fees, and status letters may submit all outstanding documents by June 30.

The Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth & Information will award scholarships to persons desirous of pursuing a Master’s Degree in:
- Educational Psychology
- Clinical Psychology
- Speech Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
General Information
Supporting Documents Required:
- Valid evidence of Acceptance/Registration Letter from the institution you applied to.
- Certified copies of transcripts or certificates.
- Two (2) Reference Letters.
- One (1) Passport size photograph.
- Certified copy of Birth Certificate.
- Valid TRN (Taxpayer Registration Number).
Conditions of Award:
The holder of the award:
- Will be bonded to work in Jamaica for a period not exceeding five (5) years.
- Continuance of the Award is subject to the successful candidates’ satisfactory performance, requiring them to maintain a “B” average or a 3.0 GPA.

Any misleading/fraudulent information given will disqualify an applicant from accessing the programme.
