The Ministry of Finance and the Public Service invites applications for the Chinese Government Scholarships for the academic year 2025/2026. These scholarships offer opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and advanced training at institutions of higher learning in China. Below are the details:

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen and permanent resident of Jamaica.
- Not be a citizen of the People’s Republic of China.
- Be a High School graduate under the age of 25 when applying for undergraduate programs.
- Be a Bachelor’s Degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs.
- Be a Master’s Degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs.
- Applicants under the age of 18 should submit valid documents of their legal guardian in China.
- Submit a medical certificate attesting to good health.

Obligation
Successful candidates are required to sign a Loan Agreement for Education and Training prior to departure. They must commit to returning to Jamaica upon completion of their studies and working in Jamaica for a minimum period of five (5) years.
Application Procedure
- Complete the Chinese Government Scholarship Application form online by visiting http://www.campuschina.org and clicking on “Scholarship Application for Students.” Follow the instructions carefully. Download and print the completed application form.
- Prepare the following supporting documents:
- Completed Application Form (Agency #3881)
- Notarized highest diploma
- Academic transcripts
- Birth Certificate and a copy of the bio-data page of your passport (validity beyond March 1, 2026) and US Visa
- Study plan or research proposal (200, 500, 800 words for undergraduate, non-degree, and postgraduates respectively)
- Police Record
- Recommendation letters
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form (for stays over 6 months, completed in English)
- Pre-admission Letter/Admission Letter (if applicable)
- Valid HSK Certificate (if applicable)
