The Power Up STEM Scholarship is designed to support academically driven and community-minded Jamaican students pursuing undergraduate degrees in STEM-related fields.


Scholarship Features
- Valued up to $500,000 per academic year.
- Valid for the academic year immediately following the offer of the award.
- Non-deferrable: The award cannot be deferred for any reason.
- Renewable annually for up to a maximum of four years, subject to continued eligibility.
Applicant Qualifications
Eligible applicants must:
- Be enrolled in an accredited tertiary institution in Jamaica.
- Be accepted to or currently pursuing a first degree in a STEM-related field.
- Demonstrate high academic performance, such as:
- A GPA of 3.0 or above, or strong results in CSEC/CAPE.
- Show involvement in extra-curricular activities and/or volunteerism.
- Demonstrate financial need.
Required Supporting Documents
Applicants must submit:
- Proof of acceptance to or enrolment in an accredited undergraduate degree programme in Jamaica, or in the case of the University of the West Indies, any campus in the region.
- The most recent high school report or tertiary academic transcript.
