The EWP STEM Tertiary Grant supports Jamaican students enrolled at the University of Technology (UTech) or the College of Agriculture, Science and Education (CASE) who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in engineering or other STEM-related fields. This grant is a one-time payment to help cover academic expenses for the 2025/2026 academic year.


Grant Features
- Valued up to $500,000.
- Applicable to the academic year immediately following the offer.
- Non-deferrable under any circumstances.
- One-time disbursement to support undergraduate-level studies.
Applicant Qualifications
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be enrolled at an accredited tertiary institution in Jamaica.
- Be:
- Pursuing an engineering degree at UTech, or
- Pursuing a STEM-related degree at CASE.
- Show high academic performance, such as:
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher, or strong CXC/CAPE results.
- Be actively engaged in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities.
- Demonstrate financial need.

Applicants must submit the following:
- Proof of acceptance or enrolment at UTech or CASE.
- Latest academic transcript.
- A 500-word essay outlining:
- Your career goals.
- How you plan to contribute to Jamaica's energy sector after completing your course of study.
