
Intel Officer (Level 6) - NMIA
Summary
Under the direction of the Manager Intel, AIRCOP, the Intel Officer, AIRCOP is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence related to aviation security and counter-narcotics efforts. The officer will work in the AIRCOP Intelligence and Targeting Unit of the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency to support the mission of safeguarding national and international security interests. đź’°Salary: $5,198,035 JMD per annum
Responsibilities
Key Outputs:
- • Intelligence analysis to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in aviation security conducted.
- • Timely and accurate intelligence updates to relevant stakeholders provided.
- • Operational and strategic intelligence requirements assessed and evaluated.
- • Intelligence products such as threat assessments, intelligence briefings, and analytical reports developed.
- • Patterns, trends, and emerging threats related to aviation security and counter-narcotics identified.
- • Assistance given in the development of intelligence collection plans and strategies.
- • Research and analysis on criminal networks involved in narcotics trafficking and other transnational crimes conducted.
- • Investigations supported.
- • Intelligence analysis provided.
- • Individual Work Plans agreed.
Technical/Professional:
- • Collect and analyze intelligence from various sources, including open-source information, classified data, and field reports.
- • Collaborate with intelligence and law enforcement agencies to gather and verify information.
- • Develop and maintain intelligence databases and systems to store, manage, and analyze information.
- • Use advanced analytical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and relationships in data.
- • Prepare intelligence reports, briefings, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- • Conduct risk assessments and threat analysis to identify vulnerabilities and potential mitigation measures.
- • Stay abreast of current and emerging technologies and methodologies in intelligence analysis.
- • Provide support and guidance to intelligence officers in the unit.
- • Assist in the development and implementation of intelligence policies and procedures.
- • Conduct intelligence debriefings and interviews to extract relevant information.
- • Liaise with foreign intelligence agencies to exchange information and coordinate joint operations.
- • Participate in intelligence-led operations and provide real-time intelligence support.
- • Monitor and analyze social media and online platforms for potential threats.
- • Conduct network analysis to identify key individuals and organizations involved in criminal activities.
- • Identify and assess potential sources of intelligence and develop relationships with informants.
- • Provide expert advice and guidance to decision-makers based on intelligence analysis.
- • Participate in intelligence briefings and meetings with senior officials.
- • Follow national and international legal and ethical standards in intelligence operations.
- • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for intelligence personnel.
- • Conduct quality control checks on intelligence reports and products.
- • Support operational planning by providing intelligence assessments and recommendations.
- • Participate in joint operations with other law enforcement agencies.
- • Manage and protect classified and sensitive intelligence information.
- • Provide expert testimony and intelligence support in legal proceedings.
Management/Administrative:
- • Participates in the development and implementation of annual operational plans in keeping with the Strategic Business Plan.
- • Implements appropriate communication mechanisms for the dissemination of policy to all relevant stakeholders.
- • Ensures that the work undertaken is documented.
- • Develops individual Work Plan.
- • Prepares and submits activity reports as required.

Qualifications
- • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as criminal justice, intelligence analysis, or a related discipline.
- • A minimum of 5 years of work experience involving intelligence analysis, preferably in law enforcement or aviation security.
