ICT Security Officer (MIS/IT 4)

Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position within the Information Communication Technology Division of the Police Department: ICT Security Officer (MIS/IT 4) Under the direct supervision of the ICT Manager, the Security Officer has responsibility to manage the digital security for the JCF through the development and implementation of digital security protocols, operating a cyber security system and maintaining an IT security infrastructure for the organization.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Communication Technology or Telecommunications or Engineering Electronics or any relevant area from a recognized tertiary institution;
• • Three (3) years' work experience in a similar capacity;
• • Basic coding skills, such as HTML, CSS and other languages.

Additional Information and Instructions

• Special Conditions Associated with the Job:

  • • Work will be conducted in an office outfitted with standard office equipment and specialized software.
  • • The environment is fast paced with on-going interactions with critical stakeholders and meeting tight deadlines which will result in high degrees of pressure, on occasion. May be required to travel locally and overseas to attend conferences, seminars and meetings.
  • • Required to work on a shift system.
