Data Management Officer (MIS/IT 2)
Summary
Under the general direction of the Manager Data Management and Analysis, the Data Management Officer is primarily responsible for the collection, and management of student registration and examination data for national exams. đź’°Salary: $1,711,060 - $2,301,186 JMD per annum
Responsibilities
Technical/Professional:
- • Organizes student registration files received from schools for processing;
- • Generates student registration numbers for new students;
- • Uploads student registration information into the National Student Registration database;
- • Sorts and package student registration information for distribution to schools;
- • Liaises with schools to obtain information on incomplete fields on the database;
- • Maintains storage and archives of completed registration forms;
- • Responds to requests for information on student files for relevant investigations and queries;
- • Compiles and distributes student registration cards to regional offices and schools;
- • Review and process requests for student replacement registration cards;
- • Provides support to school administrators by troubleshoots issues related to registration form completion;
- • Maintains log of all registration forms and corresponding documents;
- • Transfers and merges student records as per provided criteria;
- • Collates student examination data for comparison and analysis;
- • Maintains a log of all issues identified during the processing of student registration data;
- • Conducts reviews of student registration data to maintain quality standards.
Management/Administrative:
- • Supports the administration and coordination of special programmes such as the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), as needed;
- • Participates in meetings and workshops concerning the branch’s strategic planning and policy agendas;
- • Keeps current with developments in the areas of data management;
- • Encourages innovation and a culture of continuous improvement within the Branch;
- • Leverages technology and analytics to enhance efficiency in the execution of duties;
- • Performs other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications
- • Associate Degree in Business Administration or related areas from a recognized institution;
- • Certificate in Administrative Management would be an asset;
- • Three (3) years of experience in an administrative capacity.
- • Five (5) CXC including Mathematics and English Language with (3) three years of experience in an administrative capacity.
Additional Information and Instructions
Special Conditions Associated with the Job:
- • May be required to work beyond normal work hours in order to meet deadlines;
- • May be required to work on public holidays/ weekends.
