GNOC Surveillance Engineer
Summary
As a NOC Engineer, you will perform surveillance and diagnostics on all Digicel CALA networks, acting as first line of defense against any operational or performance issue on the network.
Responsibilities
- • Monitor the network and other related platform to proactively identify issues, resolve same and or escalate if needed
- • Maintain Service Level Agreement (SLA) in order to achieve 99.99 network availability
- • Inform the business, stakeholders and peers about network performance and service availability by way of an establish means of communication
- • Perform surveillance and proactive maintenance to prevent undue network outages
- • Maintains quality of service by enforcing quality and industry standards, analyzing, and resolving network quality and customer service problems
Required Skills
- • Must understand the concepts of Incident, Problem and Change Management in a telecom environment and their associated OLA’s and SLA’s
- • Thorough understanding of how different teams in telecom operations interact with each other
- • Must be willing to work in rotating morning, evening and night shifts
- • Must be proficient in all ticketing and network management or performance tools
- • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- • Fluent in English language, both oral and written
- • Must be a team player
- • Willing to work under pressure, in a fast paced and challenging environment
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/IT Engineering
- • More than 3 years’ experience in telecom industry, in Network Operation Management environment
- • Spanish required as a second language
