Manager, GIS & Analytics (MIS/IT 6)

Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position within the Information Communication Technology Division of the Police Department: Under the general direction of the DIRECTOR, ICTD, the Manager, GIS and Analytics is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of teams of IT experts that produce geographical data using specialist computer systems. The incumbent is also responsible for planning, design, and implementation of visual analytics.

Qualifications

• • A Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Earth Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• • Three (3) years' experience in a similar position with professional-level experience in the design, development, implementation, and administration of geographic information systems, including analysis, database development, and integration.
• • OR
• • A Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Earth Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• • Four (4) years' experience in a similar position with professional-level experience in the design, development, implementation, and administration of geographic information systems, including analysis and database development and integration.

• Special Conditions Associated with the Job:

  • • Work will be conducted in an office outfitted with standard office equipment and specialized software. The environment is fast-paced with ongoing interactions with critical stakeholders and meeting tight deadlines, which will result in high degrees of pressure on occasions. May be required to travel locally and overseas to attend conferences, seminars, and meetings.
