Oxygen Plant Operator (SOG/ST 3) - St. Ann

Summary

The North-East Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health & Wellness with responsibility for the management and delivery of public health services within the parishes of St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland, is seeking to fill the position of Oxygen Plant Operator (SOG/ST 3), at the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital. Reporting to the Oxygen Plant Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for monitoring and overseeing the plant operation to ensure proper functioning at all times. Salary Range: 💰 $2,190,302 – $2,945,712 JMD per annum.

Responsibilities

• • Monitoring and overseeing plant operation to ensure proper functioning.
• • Assisting with start-up, shutdown, and operations of the PSA plant equipment/machinery.
• • Ensuring that safety and environmental rules and programmes are strictly adhered to the standards.
• • Performing operator level preventative maintenance activities of the PSA plant
• • Perform all other related activities as may be assigned from time to time

Required Skills

• • Knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing maintenance background is an asset.
• • Competent in all maintenance aspects such as preventive, breakdown, predictive, corrective, and effective maintenance of compressors, refrigerant air dryers, filters and drains, bacteria filters, silencers (mufflers), flow meters, different types of valves, pressure and temperature gauges, and boosters.
• • Knowledge of Occupational Safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• • HEART NSTA Level 2 Certificate in Electrical or AC & Refrigeration
PLUS
• • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in similar or industrial setting.
