People Director, Jamaica

Summary

This role works as a senior people business partner to the Jamaica Country Manager and his/her teams, helping to influence, challenge and support the achievement of the business strategy through our people.

Responsibilities

The objective of this role is to shape, drive and implement the People strategy that aligns to the needs of the Jamaica organization and to leverage Liberty Caribbean and Liberty Latin America people products and services.

• • Partner with commercial business leaders to drive and shape a people strategy that supports the commercial strategy and aligns with changing business needs in the local market.
• • Build a strong relationship with the Country Manager and senior leaders, establishing a role on the leadership team.
• • Work collaboratively across the People Team to support and project manage cross-People Team initiatives e.g. talent and succession management, leadership development etc.
• • Analyse data to drive improvements in all aspects of people management including engagement, attrition, attendance management, reward and recognition; resourcing and benchmarking.
• • Promote a high-performance culture in Jamaica and ensure talent is identified and developed to contribute to our competitive edge.
• • Lead on People elements of business transformation, driving improvements in business performance through capability.
• • Accountable for the effective delivery of all cyclical people activities, e.g. annual salary review, performance management and engagement activities.
• • Work collaboratively with Functional PBP leads to deliver a robust People strategy in the market.
• • Build an effective union strategy for the market, ensuring that costs are contained and that a healthy relationship is maintained to support ongoing busines

Qualifications

• • 12 + years progressive experience in People management with experience in People Business Partnering or deep subject area expertise in Human resources specialty domain such as Rewards or Talent management
• • Highly skilled at managing relationships and conflicting priorities at a senior level, with the ability to coach and develop professionals and show diplomacy, maturity and the ability to keep confidences.

• • Highly analytical with expertise in data driven storytelling.
• • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills
• • A dynamic and pro-active manager, used to working across multiple HR disciplines

• • Project Management skills from concept to planning, implementation and evaluation, strategic planning skills
