Medical Imaging Practitioner (HPC/MIP 1)

Summary

The North-East Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health & Wellness with responsibility for the management and delivery of health care and public health services within the parishes of St. Ann and St. Mary, is seeking dynamic, proactive and forward-thinking individuals to fill the position of Medical Imaging Practitioner (HPC/MIP 1) at the Port Maria Hospital. Reporting to the Chief Medical Imaging Practitioner, the incumbent will be responsible for performing activities associated with delivery of diagnostic radiography services within a specified radiology facility. Salary Range: 💰 $3,241,533 – 3,853,164 JMD per annum.

Responsibilities

• • Performing general x-ray and other imaging procedures according to international standards as directed by protocol and as per medical requisition.
• • Performing bedside and operative radiography, in consultation with the Senior Radiographer, using prescribed protocols.
• • Managing imaging examinations in accordance with approved patient care procedures.
• • Manipulating imaging equipment using electrical factors in accordance with radiation safety regulations.
• • Performing emergency x-rays outside of normal working hours.

Qualifications

• • First degree in Diagnostic Imaging or equivalent.
• • One (1) year experience in a similar position.
