Sr. Manager Media Strategy
Summary
The Sr Manager Media strategy is responsible to build an end to end media strategy (traditional media, digital, social and direct customer communications) that supports the marketing plans across LC. He/she has a strong ROI mindset; constantly monitoring and optimizing investments made based on sales results. He/she combines hands on delivery of plans (as a direct responsible for one of the cluster) with coaching and managerial expertise as he/she leads the media and touchpoint specialists team.
Responsibilities
As Responsible For A Market Cluster:
- • Define an end to end media plan for each market of the cluster incl traditional media, digital media, social media, CBM, sponsoring,…
- • Ensure one-team alignment on media, digital and social media processes and reporting from global, regional and local social teams.
- • Recommend how budget is split across media and campaigns
- • Work with our media agency and steer traditional and digital media strategy and negotiations
- • Collaborate with our digital and CBM centers of expertise
- • Stay on top of latest trends in the media landscape
- • Stay in touch with local market realities ensuring we capture all media opportunities
- • Monitor media spend and campaign effectiveness and create data driven recommendations to improve (ROI management)
As Lead Of The Media Team (3 People):
- • Coach the team of media specialists
- • Focus on innovation and keep the broader team updated on latest media, paid social and digital media trends.
- • Create educational presentations to establish upskilling across the digital marketing teams as required.
- • Deliver accurate, insightful and actionable reporting that is aligned to the above measurement and reporting framework. Track and optimize the marketing spend ; potentially set up a marketing mix model
- • Foster and ROI mindset across the media group and look for continuous improvement of our spend
- • Build strong relationships with key contacts across media, social and digital networks
Required Skills
- • Strong record of people management in a technical and commercial environment, including communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to form strong business relationships across all functions.
- • Strong Grasp of Digital ways of working and the Digitalization Opportunities.
- • Timeliness in all actions with quality consciousness towards services received and provided.
- • Effectively gathers information, structures clear reasons for decisions and leads debate where required.
- • Works collaboratively with stakeholders and team members to deliver the best results for the customer and to remove barriers of execution.
- • Demonstrates strong ability to work under pressure with multiple competing priorities.
- • Demonstrates the importance of measurement and data driven analysis and the ability to articulate in a meaningful way for the team.
Qualifications
- • Specific interest in candidates with a background in both Data Science and media
- • Ideal candidates have experience in the Telcom industry or subscription-based services.
- • 10 years of experience executing in both traditional as well as digital media plans
- • Experience managing deliverables from multiple stakeholders (agency and in-house).
- • Proven record executing and optimizing campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube.
- • Additional experience of running or managing digital marketing activity across other channels (e.g. Programmatic, Display, PPC, SEO, etc) beneficial.
- • Experience in running customer base projects and strategies
- • Experience and ability to drive change through influence.
