
Senior Auditor (Level 5)
Summary
Under the general supervision of the Audit Supervisor Performance/IT - plans, conducts and leads the assigned audit team in the examination of management and performance audits. S/he is also responsible for drafting reports on findings and recommendations for the review of the Audit Manager đź’°Salary: $4,266,270 JMD per annum
Responsibilities
Key Outputs Include:

- • Staff evaluated after assignment
- • Develops audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
- • Leads engagement teams in the conduct of assignments, provides appropriate guidance to ensure high quality, accurate, and efficient results; eensures team members have sufficient and appropriate resources to perform duties
- • Supervises the evaluation of management procedures and operations to determine the level of operational efficiency and effectiveness within the parameters of established policies, rules and regulations
- • Conducts special investigations as directed to include Value-for-Money, Projects; and, performance in relation to revenue and expenditure on programmes, projects and activities
- • Ensures audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk.
- • Performs regular follow-up audits on non-compliant or high risk breaches to assure management of the impact of fixes
- • Obtains, analyses and appraises evidential data as a basis for an informed, objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and the efficiency of the performance of the activities being reviewed
- • Drafts reports of findings and recommendations in consultation with the project team
- • Conducts exit interviews as required
- • Evaluates Audit teams after each assignments
- • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies, Business Administration, or equivalent qualifications
- • Three years’ experience in the conduct of Performance Audits
- • Training in Performance Auditing Techniques required
