
Senior Payroll Officer (FMG/AT 3) (Retiree & Ex-Employee Benefits)
Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following positions within the Finance & Accounts The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the operational aspects of payroll processing particularly for the retirees, resigned employees and deceased members of staff and associated activities relating to salaries and wages are accurate and conform to the Financial Administration & Audit (FAA) Act and other relevant Government regulations. Post-Employment supports the accurate preparation and checking of statement of earnings, post- employment benefits/other outstanding benefits, statutory deductions for Police and Civilian Retirees. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the requisite internal controls; independent verification of the data for Internal Audit and Human Resource Management and Pension Administration Unit (PAU) at the MoFPS, reconciliation of the Payroll with the on and off control; and resolution of any payroll discrepancies.
Responsibilities
Perform other payroll-related duties at the level of Payroll Clerk, as required. This includes any additional tasks within the Finance and Administration Branch that may arise based on operational needs.
Qualifications
- • Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) Level 3
- • OR - Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) - CAT, Level C
- • OR - Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Level 1
- • OR - Diploma in Accounting from a recognized University
- • OR - Associate of Science Degree in Accounting, MIND along with the completion of revised certificate in Government Accounting, Level 2 Course
