Payroll Supervisor
Summary
The Payroll Supervisor will oversee and supervise the organizations payroll functions, ensuring that pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Responsibilities
- • Participate on recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff in the department
- • Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately
- • Review payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax filings, and child support
- • Maintains or oversees the maintenance of employee records
- • Address payroll related queries and requests from employees
- • Provide support in tax calculation and filing for employees
- • Ensures compliance with local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
- • Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures
- • Analyse payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions
- • Performs other payroll related duties assigned on a need-to basis
- • Oversee employee payroll accounting, transactions and reporting activities
- • Provide assistance as well as constructive and timely performance evaluations to direct reports
- • Handle discipline of employees in accordance with company policy
- • Adhere and enforce adherence to the payroll SOP
Required Skills

- • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- • Proficient with payroll software
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
- • 4+ years of experience in payroll processing required with two years in a supervisory or management role preferred
