Sales Engineer
Summary
The Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting sales teams by driving solution-based selling, executing strategic deals, and aligning customer needs with tailored solutions. With a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, they create financial models, deliver persuasive presentations, and provide strategic insights. This role supports C&W Business by boosting sales and revenue through the integration of technical knowledge and business strategy. The Sales Engineer must possess strong communication skills, deep product understanding, and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies and market trends, while translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value for customers.
Responsibilities
- • Collaborate with the sales team to provide solution-based selling to potential clients.
- • Partner with Sales in planning, preparing, and executing strategic deals during complex sales cycles.
- • Proactively define technical solutions to meet customer needs, assessing both their current and future requirements to recommend value-optimized solutions.
- • Demonstrate commercial understanding of customer financials to shape effective solution offerings.
- • Develop financial business models for sales opportunity (as required)
- • Deliver impactful presentations and demos, clearly showcasing the unique value proposition.
- • Secure technical commitments from customer teams to ensure successful deal closure.
- • Manage the technical components of Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) responses.
- • Communicate customers needs to Product Team for product improvements.
- • Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs for growth across product lines, market areas, and channels.
- • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to better position solutions in the market.

Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
- • Minimum of 3 years of professional sales experience in business to business or large/strategic customer segment.
- • Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions.
- • Associate/ Professional Level Industry Technical Certification - Maintenance of the certification through continuing education and professional development activities
