Summary

Responsibilities

• • Document and analyse current and future business processes using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, business process analysis and workflow analysis.
• • Produce process-related documentation including workflows, wireframes, swimlane, Ishikawa, sequence and activity diagrams, user stories and use cases.
• • Collect, analyse, understand and translate current and future business needs into detailed requirements and plans.
• • Produce requirements-related documentation including business, functional and non-functional requirements and traceability matrices.
• • Apply business process reengineering methodologies to improve efficiencies and create lean processes.
• • Create Policies, Procedures, User and Technical Manuals and training documentation.
• • Assume the role of liaison between business users and technical staff on each assigned initiative.
• • Develop Test Strategy, Test Plans and lead Test Execution.
• • Assist in the design and delivery of training programs to technical and non-technical users.

Required Skills

• Functional competencies:

  • • Sound knowledge of Business Process Analysis and Business Process Improvement methodologies.
  • • Sound knowledge of Project Management principles.
  • • Strong documentation skills.
  • • Knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) terminologies would be an asset.
  • • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) would be an asset.
  • • Skilled in interpreting business needs and translating them into functional and non-functional requirements.
  • • Results oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • • Strong written and verbal communication with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills are mandatory.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Banking and Finance or related field.
• • IIBA-Certified Business Analyst Professional or PMI certification would be an advantage.
• • Formal training in Six Sigma, Lean Processing and Change Management is an asset.
• • Minimum three (3) years’ experience working in the financial industry.
• • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Business Process Analysis, Design or Improvements.
• • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in requirements gathering techniques, process mapping and process reengineering
• • Exposure to the General Insurance industry is an asset
