Summary

Under the general supervision of the Audit Manager – Performance/IT: Plans and conducts examination of controls, security and logical framework of ICT systems in accordance with the relevant regulations, acts, laws and circulars. Leads and manages the team members’ in the achievement of the above strategic objectives. Prepares and submits audit reports of findings and recommendations to the Audit Manager 💰Salary: $5,198,035 JMD per annum

Responsibilities

  • • Assists with the preparation of IT audit plan based on the results of completed risk assessment and other relevant criteria
  • • Develops audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives; applying relevant IT Audit standards
  • • Leads engagement teams in the conduct of assignments, provides appropriate guidance to ensure high quality, accurate, and efficient results; ensures team members have sufficient and appropriate resources to perform duties
  • • Perform audits to ascertain whether systems of internal controls are adequate, working effectively and efficient in practice
  • • Performs regular follow-up audits on non-compliant or high risk breaches
  • • Analyses and appraises evidential data as a basis for an informed, objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness systems and the performance of the activities being reviewed
  • • Drafts reports of findings and recommendations in consultation with the audit team
  • • Conducts exit interviews
  • • Evaluates Audit teams after each assignments
  • • Performs other duties as required

    • • Sound knowledge of current trends/developments in ICT technology
    • • Knowledge of best practices for information systems audits as outlined by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) manual
    • • Proficient in the use of ACL software

Qualifications

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Technology or equivalent qualifications
  • • Five years auditing experience to include three years in the conduct of IT Audits
  • Specify licensing or certification relevant to the job:

    • • CISA certification would be an asset
