As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will support our global fintech and payments legal team, helping to navigate the complex regulatory landscape of financial services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing legal guidance on regulatory compliance, licensing, and product development while contributing to the development of scalable legal and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in legal research and provide guidance on financial regulations, payments, and fintech-related compliance matters.
  • Support drafting and reviewing agreements, including payment processing agreements, vendor contracts, and regulatory submissions.
  • Work closely with senior legal counsel on licensing applications, regulatory filings, and ensuring product compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with internal teams such as compliance, finance, and product to ensure legal and regulatory considerations are embedded in business operations.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing processes to streamline legal operations, contract negotiation, and compliance frameworks.
  • Help create and maintain legal playbooks, policies, and training materials for internal teams.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of legal experience, ideally with exposure to fintech, payments, financial services, or regulatory compliance (in-house experience is a plus but not essential).
  • Strong research and analytical skills with an interest in payments and regulatory law.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
