
Construction Project Manager - Digicel Foundation
Summary
The primary objective of this role is to manage all construction projects financed by the Digicel Foundation, within budget, scope, on-time, and to the standards of quality and functionality specified. Responsible for driving construction project management methodology throughout the duration of the project, so as to streamline and facilitate smooth delivery of projects. The selected prospect will assume full responsibility for the end to end delivery of construction projects, from scope determination to closeout of project, and will manage the contractor’s delivery and customers’ expectations at all times throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Project Planning, Procurement and Execution:
- • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including project scope, budget, schedule and required resources
- • Conduct site surveys for fact finding, analysis and evaluation, making representation to the Foundation to inform decision-making process for construction projects and to identify project requirements, risks and constraints
- • Develop bills of quantities and access those procured from third party providers for comparison in the tender process
- • Prepare and issue tender to qualified and proven contractors for all construction projects
- • Review bid responses and provide recommendation for the most suitable contractor for each construction project
- • Manage process of awarding bid winners by confirming project plan and budget and communicating the Foundation’s project standards and construction code of conduct
Construction Management:
- • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities from conception to closeout, by conducting site visits ensuring adherence to project timeline, scope, standards and specification
- • Organize and oversee construction procedures to facilitate the on-time and efficient completion of all construction projects, as per contract terms and budget

- • Monitor construction progress by providing detailed reports on project status, identifying any insures or delays, proposing recommendations for corrective actions as necessary
- • Coordinate and schedule resource utilization and dissemination including equipment, materials labour to optimize project efficiency
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards throughout the construction process.
- • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and address any potential issues.
- • Prepare and collate relevant documents for representation with regulatory agencies and obtain necessary permits and approvals as required
Project Communication and Relationship Management:
- • Lead and manage a team of construction professionals including contractors and suppliers to promote a productive work environment and efficient construction processes
- • Establish and maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders, addressing their concerns and providing regular project updates
- • Coordinate project meetings and site visits with stakeholders
- • Serve as liaison between beneficiary and selected Contractor to ensure that the Contractor’s needs are met including granting access site and other facilities
- • Seek out CAD Technician in developing drawings and designs for different aspects of the construction projects
- • Address post-construction issues promptly and professionally in keeping with contractual expectations to support beneficiary satisfaction , maintaining the Foundation’s project output standards

Qualifications
- • BSc in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management
- • Project Management Certification
- • Expert knowledge in construction and project management methodologies and procedures
- • 3-5 years’ experience project-managing construction projects
- • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, overseeing medium to large-scale construction projects.
