Oxygen Plant Service Technician (SOG/ST 2)) - St. Ann

Summary

The North-East Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health & Wellness with responsibility for the management and delivery of public health services within the parishes of St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland, is seeking to fill the position of Oxygen Plant Service Technician (SOG/ST 2), at the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital. Reporting to the Oxygen Plant Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the monitoring and management of the cylinder’s safety, handling and operations at all times. Salary Range: 💰 $1,711,060 – $2,301,186 JMD per annum.

Responsibilities

• • Monitor and manage cylinder’s safety, handling and operations
• • Refill high pressure cylinders with medical grade oxygen at refilling station and assist in loading to vehicles for dispatch
• • Replace empty cylinders with filled ones in manifold station
• • Perform post-fill processes
• • Store oxygen cylinders in appropriate section of room/warehouse
• • Ensure all workstations are maintained in an efficient, clean and safe manner
• • Performs other duties related to oxygen provision as required

Required Skills

• • Medical gas relevant technical training
• • Knowledge of Occupational Safety guidelines.
• • Knowledge of basic medical cylinders, storage and warehousing
• • Experience with chemicals, hazardous gases, and gas management

Qualifications

• • A minimum of a high school leaving certificate/diploma.
PLUS
• • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in oxygen cylinder related services in hospital or oxygen production setting is a plus.
