Manager, IT Quality Assurance

Summary

Across all LLA, this role is responsible to manage and execute Functional Testing activities for all IT related deliveries, with focus on Customer impacting/facing use cases and using Business Processes and Risk based Testing as key inputs to its execution. This role is also responsible to manage both internal and external resources involved in test management and test execution is all geographies in LLA as well as outsourced offshore resources in other locations.

Responsibilities

• • Defines e2e Test Strategy, Processes and Framework to be used in Functional testing in LLA
• • Manages and oversees the execution of the Functional Test Phases
• • Requests preparation and execution of the environments and data needed to execute the test phases in an optimal and efficient manner
• • Follows resource and financial management guiding principles, both for internal and external staff
• • Manages communication with other IT teams and with business areas relevant to the tests in hands
• • Measure and Report per standard LLA norms with Key Performance Indicators.
• • Proactively mitigate and control test risks.
• • Uses Business Inputs, Business processes and Risk Based Testing as key principles in the testing methodology
• • Functional design approver

Qualifications

• • Ideally holds a degree in IT, Software engineering, Computer Science, Qualty Management OR alternate appropriate industry experience.
• • Minimum of 5-10 years relevant experience
• • Demonstrable experience of working in complex operational environment managing cross-functional teams.
• • Experience in telco industry, preferably in an international multi-market environment
• • Proven experience engaging effectively with and senior level management.
• • Experience and appreciation of working in a customer focused environment essential.
• • Experience working in cross-functional, international teams
• • Track record of concurrently handling a variety of projects while coordinating and supporting the efforts of cross-functional team members
• • Substantial knowledge of the IT architecture landscape including new technologies
• • Excellent track record on Test Methodologies, including risk-based testing and resource management, both internal and offshore
• • Preferably bi-lingual – English/Spanish OR optionally, excellent skills in one of the languages and fluency on the other
