Graphic Designer (MCG/AVP 3)
Summary
Under the direction of the Website and Social Media Manager, the Graphic Designer is responsible for creating digital and broadcast media for television, print, website and social media platforms; producing exceptional designs using various design software; contributing to the Ministryâs multimedia projects, in support of the Ministryâs Public Relations and Corporate Communications Programme. đ°Salary: $4,266,270 - $5,737,658 JMD per annum
Responsibilities
- ⢠Conceptualizes and develops visually appealing and effective graphic designs for various print and digital media, including brochures, reports, social media, websites, logos and presentations;
- ⢠Collaborates with the team to assist in editing video content, ensuring high-quality production standards;
- ⢠Develops illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand;
- ⢠Keeps abreast of design trends and technologies;
Designs Software Proficiency, Expertise in design software such as:
- ⢠Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CorelDRAW, Sketch, Canva and Video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro);
- ⢠Liaises with Producer/Administrative and Special Assistants;
- ⢠Conceptualizes, produces and edits content according to broadcasting standards;
- ⢠Develops and manages archive of content;
- ⢠Submits reports, as required, on the output of the Unit;
- ⢠Performs any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications
- ⢠CXC or GCE âOâLevel subjects including English Language; successful completion of the prescribed Secretarial Course of study at the Management Institute for National Development (MIND) or any Accredited Secretarial Studies, proficiency in typewriting at a speed of 50-55 words per minute and shorthand at a speed of 100-120 words per minute, plus four to five (4-5) yearsâ general office experience;
- ⢠Graduated from an accredited school of Secretarial Studies with proficiency in typewriting at a speed of 50-55 words per minute and shorthand at a speed of 100-120 words per minute, training in the use of a variety of software applications e.g., word processing, database and spread sheets; English Language at CXC or GCE âOâLevel; completion of the appropriate Office Professional Training Course at the Management Institute for National Development, plus four to five (4-5) yearsâ general office experience;
- ⢠Successful completion of the Certified Professional Secretary course; proficient in typewriting at a speed of 50-55 words per minute and shorthand at a speed of 100-120 words per minute; English Language at CXC or GCE âOâLevel; training in the use of a variety of software applications and four to five (4-5) yearsâ general office experience plus the appropriate Office Professional
